Catching Up
I did hire a secretary. She has a BA in office administration so I am expecting her to whip our office into shape! She starts on Feb. 11 but she has asked (and received permission from the HR department) to come in late in the afternoon for the upcoming week and start getting the files into shape. She actually still has a day job but gets off at 4 pm. I am so impressed that she wants to come and start work before she has to come. Lyn has been doing a great job but she only has a limited amount of time during the day and we do need 8 hours of help each day. Lyn's best skill is that when I send her to Sonic Happy Hour that she doesn't need to ask what I want!Martha, the new full-time secretary (not to be confused with Lyn's aunt M) asked me other day what the dress code was for the job. I had to laugh out loud! I can barely get myself dressed each morning and do not know what the secretary should wear! I did tell her that I think the HR office has suggestions but I just want her to not wear hot pants or sweats!
Now, on a serious note...I have two friends who are dealing with Alzheimer's disease. One with a spouse who has developed it waaaaaayyyy too young and the other dealing with a parent. I have them both in my prayers. Cancer and Alzheimer's both need to eliminated from our vocabulary and our lives.

So glad you have Martha hired. That will help you soo much. Yes,I agree about Cancer and Alzheimer's. We're praying too.

Lyn's Sonic skills are unsurpassed. Must hark back to her mother sneaking out with Winnie Bell after girls' curfew to check out the boys (and the coke floats.)
About Lyn's Martha...no one could be confused with her. Tho she's better since the Welbutrin and horomones...
My cousin's husband was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. So devestating.

I'm so glad you've got the secretary positions under control...maybe we'll hear from you more often now.
Keep those prayers going up! I did talk to Mama on the phone yesterday. Diana called me while she was at the nursing home with her and she talked to me longer than she has in a long time and sounded better than she has in a long time! I intend to make it down there to see her one day this week.

UGGG! Cancer and Alzheimers...I agree with you. I don't even like typing those 2 words.
I am SOOO thankful that you have 2 great helps in your office!!! What a great thing for your sanity!! Yippe for Happy hour...i know that i go too much when Susie says, "Mom, is it time to go and get your large coke?"

I just read this again and I keep thinking, "Dress Code? Dress Code?" What was that you used to say...No cleavage, no crackage, no navel showing and you're ok?
