I can't even imagine how hard it is to think about how to get through this day in Buloxi, Gulfport, New Orleans or one of the other hundreds of communities that endured Katrina. I can pray that God will give them the things they need to physically survive and the mental strenght to keep going. My friend is somewhere in Mississippi working with the Red Cross and trying to help survirors put their lives back together. Please, God, bless all the efforts to aid them.

Several friends and family members are expereincing unsettled times. Please, God, give them the strenght to plod on and know that you can make the unfolding events turn out good even though things look scary right now. Help me to know that and not just type idle words.
